The reason for this is that everyone has different ideas and preferences when it comes to the placement and use of such accessories. What exactly is an inflatable kayak?
An inflatable kayak is a portable watercraft that, unlike traditional rigid kayaks, is made of robust but lightweight material such as PVC or rubber. They are inflated with air and offer similar performance to conventional variants. However, they are much easier to transport and store.
An inflatable kayak is shaped like a narrow boat. It is usually propelled by a double paddle or a pedal drive. The difference between the two is the board itself. This consists of a drop-stitch material and can be inflated with a pump. A fixed kayak is usually made of hard plastic and therefore takes up a lot of space during transportation. The area of application has changed considerably over time. In the past, they were used for hunting, but today they are mostly used for leisure activities such as water sports or leisurely excursions.
This is exactly why we have improved the inflatable kayak. Our drop-stitch kayak is powered by a pedal drive. With this drive, you can easily explore an entire lake in one day. To make such an excursion or leisure activity even more fun and adventurous, we have equipped the inflatable version with a steering system. It is no longer steered with a double paddle, but with a practical steering system and a rudder. This combination makes for a very comfortable outing on the water.
Inflatable kayak made from drop-stitch material (drop-stitch kayak)
The drop-stitch material originally comes from the water sports sector of SUPs (stand-up paddles). The special feature of the material is that the upper and lower outer walls are connected to each other by thousands of threads of fiber fabric. When this air chamber is inflated, the board becomes board-hard. Thanks to this ingenious invention, it is possible to deflate a board-hard kayak and then transport it in a car trunk! However, these stand up paddles are rather unsuitable for long trips on the water. The cruising speeds are very low and several hours on a SUP are rather uncomfortable. They are mostly used for short swimming trips or balance exercises on the water.
If you combine a conventional kayak with a stand-up paddle, the result is the SUPJAK or inflatable kayak. Thanks to the drop-stitch material, it is very stable and easy to transport. The pedal drive and seat make it perfect for a comfortable longer trip on the water!

Supjak - The flexible solution for your fishing vacation
Even after the first endurance test in Sweden, I have almost nothing but positive things to say about the Supjak. From the drive to the steering, the mounting options for accessories (rod holders, drybags, etc.) and the seating comfort, everything is well thought out and gives me the flexibility I've been longing for on my fishing trips. Once set up, the Sup can be easily transported on a roof rack and is ready for use within a few minutes. The low weight means that everything can be handled without any problems. There's no need to hire boats, motors, search for slipways etc., which can be very time-consuming, especially in remote regions, leaving you more time to pursue the creatures of the underwater world. I was particularly surprised by the maneuverability in swell. Due to the low height of the side walls, I made much better progress against the wind or crosswinds than our canoeists, which I would not have expected. The only criticism I have is that some of the screw connections are loose, but this will definitely be improved in the future. The excellent customer support helps with all problems and is very accommodating. All in all, a great product!
